Marcus Rashford reportedly considering a huge wage cut to join Barcelona
Rumours emerging from Spain suggest recently crowned La Liga champions Barcelona are interested in signing Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford but would need him to take a big wage cut to make the deal work.

Rashford's stock has risen significantly this season after a successful loan spell with Unai Emery's Aston Villa in the Premier League this season, helping them into contention to qualify for the Champions League.
Despite his spike in form, he is not expected to remain at Manchester United after his loan spell with Villa comes to an end.
Emery has stated he prefers to wait until the end of the season to decide if he will make a bid to keep the forward permanently, which has reportedly piqued the interest of Barcelona, who may be looking to swoop in and steal him away.
However, there is a 315,000-pound-per-week elephant in the room with regards to Rashford's contract, which Barcelona, apparently, have no interest in matching.
A move to the Catalans would rank at the top of most footballers' list of ideal transfer market locations. However, it remains to be seen if Rashford's desire to move to the Spanish champions is big enough to stomach a huge wage reduction.
If he were to remain in England, on the other hand, with a move to Aston Villa or a similar club, he would likely command an equivalent wage to what he is earning right now.
Rumours are emerging that Rashford is willing to cut his wage to secure the move but there is still plenty of negotiating to be done to find a middle ground that suits both club and player.
