Manchester United enjoyed a standout October as Ruben Amorim was named Premier League Manager of the Month and Bryan Mbeumo earned the Player of the Month award.
Bryan Mbeumo Ruben Amorim 4 October, 2025 (alamy)Amorim, who took charge at Old Trafford in November 2024, guided United to victories over Sunderland (2-0), Liverpool (2-1), and Brighton (4-2) - their first three-match winning streak under his leadership. The triumph at Anfield marked United's first win there since 2016, easing pressure after a slow start to the season.
"The credit is not mine, it's for my players," Amorim said. "Our goal is to win the next one, because that means we keep winning matches."
The Portuguese coach edged out Mikel Arteta, Unai Emery, and Andoni Iraola for the honour, becoming the sixth Portuguese manager to win the monthly award and the first United boss to do so since Erik ten Hag in November 2023.
Mbeumo was equally influential, contributing three goals and an assist - the highest goal involvement in the league last month. The Cameroon international either scored or assisted in each of United's wins, beating Erling Haaland, Jurrien Timber, and Bruno Guimarães to claim his first Premier League award.
It's the first time since November 2023 that United have secured both monthly accolades, underlining a resurgence that has lifted Amorim's side into the Premier League's top half.
