Lewis Hall 'devastated' to miss Newcastle's Carabao Cup final against Liverpool
Newcastle United's Lewis Hall has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-25 season after undergoing surgery on a foot injury.

The 20-year-old will miss the Magpies' crucial Carabao Cup final against Liverpool this Sunday, as well as the rest of their Premier League campaign.
Hall, who had been struggling with the injury, initially wanted to play through the pain but was referred to a specialist.
Medical advice ultimately led to the decision for surgery, which took place on Tuesday afternoon - less than 24 hours after Newcastle's 1-0 victory over West Ham United.
That win lifted Eddie Howe's side to sixth place in the Premier League table.
The young full-back had already missed Newcastle's FA Cup fifth-round defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month as concerns over his condition grew.
With the operation now complete, Hall will begin his recovery, though he will play no further part in the Magpies' season.
"Still absolutely devastated to not be out there with the lads at such a crucial part of the season," Hall stated via Instagram.
"Surgery was a success and now time to rest, recover and support the boys. Thank you for all the messages over the past week, can't wait to be back out there ready for next season."
