Antonio Conte pushes for Rasmus Hojlund and Amir Rrahmani comebacks ahead of Napoli's Inter clash

Antonio Conte remains optimistic that Napoli will have both Rasmus Hojlund and Amir Rrahmani fit in time for Saturday's crucial Serie A encounter against Inter Milan.

According to Tuttosport, the Napoli manager is hopeful the pair can return to action after missing recent fixtures through injury. Hojlund, who joined Napoli from Manchester United on loan in the summer with an obligation to buy, has been sidelined since early October with a minor muscle issue.

The Danish striker last featured when he scored the winner in Napoli's 2-1 comeback victory against Genoa on October 5, but has since missed two games, including the heavy 6–2 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday.

With Romelu Lukaku still recovering from a long-term problem, Conte relied on Lorenzo Lucca to lead the attack in Eindhoven, but Napoli struggled badly in front of goal, despite a brace from Scott McTominay, and conceded six, their worst defensive showing of the season.

Conte admitted he is eager to have Hojlund available again, saying the striker's energy and movement are "vital for the team's attacking rhythm."

Meanwhile, centre-back Amir Rrahmani has been out for over a month with a hamstring injury, missing Napoli's last eight games, leaving Conte to rely on Alessandro Buongiorno and Sam Beukema in defence. The duo endured a difficult night in the Netherlands as Napoli conceded six times.

Conte is now pushing for Rrahmani's return to solidify the back line ahead of a testing run of fixtures. The defending Serie A champions, currently in a tight title race but faltering after their midweek European humiliation, know that a win over Inter would be a major boost to their title hopes.

"Inter are in great form, and we need our best players back to compete," Conte said. "We are working every day to have both Rasmus and Amir ready."

Saturday's clash at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona is set to be one of the standout fixtures of the Serie A weekend, with Napoli aiming to bounce back after a bruising week in Europe.
