ZETA DIVISION, BOOM Esports announce Valorant roster changes ahead of 2026 season
Two Pacific League organisations, ZETA DIVISION and BOOM Esports, have announced player departures as they begin reshaping their VALORANT rosters for the 2026 season.
valorant16ZETA DIVISION confirmed that Hikaru "CLZ" Mizutani and Kim "TenTen" Tae-young will be leaving the team. The news follows roughly a month after both players began exploring their options as restricted free agents.
A former professional Fortnite competitor, CLZ transitioned to VALORANT in 2020 and went on to claim several Challengers Japan titles before joining ZETA in October 2024. Reflecting on his time with the organisation, he said:
"Thank you very much to my teammates, staff, and fans who have made their voices heard at all times. We will not waste the experience and frustration we have gained here, and we will continue to challenge ourselves to the next stage with all our might."
TenTen, who joined ZETA in April 2025, departs after making his Pacific League debut earlier this year. The younger brother of Kim "Meteor" Tae-oh began his professional career in 2022 and previously represented T1 Academy, finishing third at Challengers 2025: Korea Stage 1.
"I was really happy to be able to make my debut in the Pacific League in Japan and with my dreamy team, ZETA DIVISION, with my best friends," he said. "I hope you will continue to receive a lot of support from now on."
Meanwhile, BOOM Esports has parted ways with Dastan "dos9" Zhumagali. The Kazakhstani player joined BOOM in October 2024, when the team replaced Ascension winners Bleed Esports in the 2025 VCT Pacific season.
Before joining BOOM, dos9 competed for several tier-two rosters and notably helped Revenant Esports win Challengers 2024 South Asia: Split 2.
"Thanks BOOM for the given opportunity, I gave my everything," said dos9. "The 2025 season with this team will have a special space in my heart — still watching and supporting them in their ascension journey, wish them luck."
According to a report by Sheep Esports, dos9 has reached a verbal agreement to join Karmine Corp in the VCT EMEA for the upcoming season, though this move has yet to be officially confirmed.
