War Thunder Championship Series announced for 2025
Gaijin Entertainment has unveiled the War Thunder Championship Series (WTCS), a brand-new professional esports league set to debut in 2025.

This high-stakes competition will feature four Major events throughout the year, each with its own unique format and challenges.
Each Major will span eight days, consisting of open qualifiers, playoffs, and finals.
A double-elimination format will ensure intense competition, with teams battling for supremacy across various War Thunder vehicle categories.
Before each Major, two weekends of open qualifiers will be held, with the top four teams from each advancing to the main event.
The first Major kicks off at the end of May and will introduce a five-versus-five mixed format, incorporating both tanks and planes.
The second Major, scheduled for late July, will be a four-versus-four tank-focused tournament using a best-of-five format.
In October, Major 3 - titled "Air Superiority" - will be exclusively dedicated to aerial combat.
Finally, the grand finale, the Thunder Cup, will take place at the end of December, bringing together all vehicle types in a showdown to determine the ultimate WTCS champions.
