T1 Esports books blockbuster Grand Final with KT Rolster at Worlds
T1 Esports swept aside Top Esports to reach the Grand Final of the 2025 League of Legends World Championships on Sunday.
FakerThe T1 train just keeps on chugging. The South Korean LoL giant marched into their fourth consecutive final when they defeated China’s Top Esports 3-0 in their semifinal in Beijing.
Game 1 saw Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyeok's and Ryu 'Keria' Min-seoks engages earn T1 control and never relinquish their lead.
Realising what they were up against, Top Esports were ultra-aggressive in Game 2. They targeted Lee 'Gumayusi' Min-hyeong's Kai'Sa with ganks, but he was too quick for them and T1's coordination too good. They earned a massive 28-5 kill lead and destroyed the Nexus.
In Game 3, Top Esports Jungler Seo 'Kanavi' Jin-hyeok tried to set the pace with early picks, and top laner Bai '369' Jiahao was in good form, but ultimately T1 were too skilful in the teamfights as they romped to another victory.
T1 lost to KT Rolster in the Swiss Stage, but have since found their groove. Meanwhile, KT Rolster have been in superlative form at the tournament, dropping just one solitary game in their five matches so far.
The Grand Final will take place on Sunday, 9 November and played as a Best-of-Five with the Fearless Draft. The tournament winner will etch their name in history and also receive a cool $1 million.
