The historic event took place on November 8th at China's National Stadium, the Bird's Nest, where All Gamers (AG Super Play) defeated Wolves Esports 4-2 in front of 62,196 spectators.

This surpasses the previous record of 45,000, set during the PES 2016 UEFA Euro 2016 event in Paris, which was followed by a watch party for the semi-finals between France and Germany at the same venue.

The milestone coincides with Honor of Kings celebrating a decade since its 2013 launch in China. Since then, the game has expanded globally in 2024 and developed one of China's largest esports circuits, the King Pro League (KPL).

Now in its ninth season, the semi-franchised KPL represents the game's top-tier competitive league. The match between AG Super Play and Wolves Esports was part of the KPL Grand Finals 2025, one of the ecosystem's two flagship events alongside the Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC).

Fan demand for the finals was immense, with tickets selling out in just 12 seconds. Reports indicate that 85% of attendees came from outside Beijing, highlighting the nationwide appeal.

Guinness World Records officials were present at the event, confirming the achievement during the half-time show.
