G2 Esports crowned VCT Americas Stage 1 champions

    G2 Esports emerged victorious in the VCT Americas Stage 1, defeating Sentinels 3–1 in a thrilling grand final held on May 5th, 2025.

    The Tier-One VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) event ran from March 21st to May 4th, featuring 12 top teams from across the Americas region.

    G2's triumph earns them 10 VCT points and a coveted direct Playoffs seed at Masters Toronto, set for June 2025.

    Dominant throughout Stage 1, G2 topped the Omega Group with a flawless 5-0 record, securing a place in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. However, their only stumble came at the hands of Sentinels, who handed them a 2-1 defeat.

    Dropping to the Lower Bracket, G2 rebounded strongly, taking down Evil Geniuses 2-1 and MIBR 3-1 to book a grand final rematch against Sentinels.

    In the final, G2 showcased resilience and sharp coordination. They claimed the first two maps, Haven and Split, both with 13-9 scores.

    Sentinels fought back with a 13-10 win on Pearl, but G2 sealed the title with a 13-10 victory on Ascent.

    This marks another high point for a G2 roster widely regarded as one of the strongest in the region.

    The win also positions them well for the global stage, following previous 2025 events such as the VCT Kickoff and Masters Bangkok.
