ENVY pulls out of Marvel Rivals esports
North American esports organisation ENVY has announced it is pausing its operations in Marvel Rivals, marking the end of its 2025 campaign in the popular fighting game.
marvel-rivals16The team becomes the latest to step back from the scene, following Sentinels, who halted their Marvel Rivals activities earlier this month after winning Ignite Stage 1.
ENVY has allowed all of its players to seek opportunities with other teams, with several already indicating they are exploring new signings.
Despite the pause, the organisation expressed hope of returning to Marvel Rivals in the future as the competitive ecosystem develops.
"Today, we're announcing that we will be pausing our competitive operations in Marvel Rivals," ENVY stated.
"We're incredibly proud of the effort and passion our roster brought to the game, and grateful for what we were able to build together during our time in the scene."
The decision concludes a mixed but notable year for ENVY. The team won The Shroud Gauntlet, finished runner-up in the Mid-Season Finals, and firmly established itself as a staple within the Marvel Rivals community.
Their departure comes shortly after the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals, the scene's first esports circuit crowning event.
While the future of Marvel Rivals esports remains uncertain, ENVY's exit underlines ongoing instability in the competitive landscape.
Analysts note that the departures of major teams such as ENVY and Sentinels could have ripple effects on player rosters, tournament viability, and sponsorship interest.
