Both teams lost their opening three matches in the ongoing Swiss Stage, resulting in them being knocked out. On Sunday, Europe's third seed Fnatic lost to Movistar KOI, while China's PSG Talon were put to the sword by the Brazilian team Keyd Stars (VKS).

Movistar KOI dominated Fnatic for the fifth time in six series this year, with all three games being decisive victories, none exceeding 28 minutes. Javier "Elyoya" Prades excelled on Qiyana, and David "Supa" Garcia stood out on Zeri to kick off the series in Game 1.

In Game 2, Fnatic showed resilience, driven by their botlane, especially Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle, who provided a glimmer of hope.

Supa's first Vayne at Worlds 2025 was commanding, keeping his team in the fight, while Joseph "Jojopyun" Pyun performed solidly on Taliyah. Despite avoiding an Azir ban, Fnatic picked it on red side but still fell short.

Meanwhile, VKS crushed PSG in the first game that was one of the shortest matches at Worlds, lasting just 25 minutes.

PSG secured only three kills against VKS's 26, with Matheus "Morttheus" Motta excelling on Sivir, finishing 10/0/12. Felipe "Boal" Boal was untouchable on Sion, the top-lane champion with an 85% win rate, boasting eleven wins and two losses.

In Game 2, Hung "Karsa" Hao-Hsuan shone on Jarvan IV, relentlessly invading Pedro Arthur "Disamis" Goncalves' jungle to level the series and secure PSG Talon's sole victory at Worlds.

In Game 3, momentum shifted decisively. Disamis made a brilliant play, sneaking through vision for first blood and clearing VKS's topside jungle. From there, VKS took control, with Morttheus' aggressive Yunara play keeping his team dominant.
