CS2: 100 Thieves rebrands as 100 Thieves Roobet, returns to competitive scene
North American esports brand 100 Thieves has announced its return to competitive Counter-Strike with a new CS2 roster that will compete under the name 100 Thieves Roobet.
100-thieves16The move follows the signing of a multi-year presenting and naming rights partnership with online entertainment company Roobet, marking one of the largest sponsorships in 100 Thieves' history.
The partnership is set to support 100 Thieves' expansion into Europe, highlighted by the development of a state-of-the-art training and content facility in Serbia.
This new hub will serve as both the training base for the CS2 team and a creative centre for streamers and content creators within the Counter-Strike community.
"Counter-Strike has always been a cornerstone of esports, and CS2 has sparked new energy worldwide," said Jacob Toft-Andersen, President of 100 Thieves.
"Europe is at the centre of that community, and by establishing a permanent home there, we're committing to doing this the right way. With Roobet as a partner, we're building something our fans can be proud of."
As part of the launch, 100 Thieves has introduced a community-focused charitable initiative. For every player revealed on the new roster, a donation will be made to a charity chosen by that player, with additional contributions planned for major team milestones throughout the competitive season.
The organisation's re-entry into Counter-Strike marks a significant step in its esports journey, reaffirming 100 Thieves' commitment to both competitive excellence and community engagement.
With the backing of Roobet and a strong European foundation, 100 Thieves Roobet aims to establish itself among the elite teams in one of esports' most enduring titles.
