CFO stun T1 as Worlds 2025 Swiss Stage delivers major upsets
The 2025 League of Legends World Championship Swiss Stage continued to produce surprises as CTBC Flying Oyster (CFO) shocked defending champions T1 with a dominant 25–11, 32-minute win.

CFO’s Doggo starred on Draven with a flawless 6/0/12 KDA, while JunJia’s Qiyana and HongQ’s Ryze helped secure the upset.
Elsewhere, KT Rolster joined CFO on 2–0 after a hard-fought 14–11 victory over Team Secret Whales, while Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) recovered from an early scare to beat PSG Talon, powered by a quadra kill from Zeka, moving to 1–1.
Europe’s G2 Esports bounced back with a 28-minute, 20–7 rout of MKOI, while FlyQuest crushed Vivo Keyd Stars 26–5, led by Quad (9/0/9 Viktor) and Inspired (10/2/12 Wukong). Both teams now sit 1–1.
On the other end, Fnatic dropped to 0–2 after being outclassed by Bilibili Gaming (BLG), who dominated 16–6 in 28 minutes. MKOI and Vivo Keyd also fell to 0–2, facing possible elimination.
Despite 100 Thieves’ earlier heroics over BLG, the North Americans were overwhelmed by Top Esports, losing 9–24 in 26 minutes. Top Esports mid-laner Creme shone with a 9/0/11 Ryze, keeping his side perfect at 2–0.
The day ended with another upset as Anyone’s Legend defeated tournament favourites Gen.G 16–10, securing Cloud Soul and the Elder Dragon to seal victory before a home crowd. The result makes Anyone’s Legend the second LPL team to go 2–0, underlining China’s strong start to Worlds 2025.
