Bang returns to T1 as a streamer on CHZZK

Bae 'Bang' Jun-sik, a two-time League of Legends world champion, has returned to T1 - not as a player, but as a content creator.

The former bot laner will stream League of Legends content under T1's banner on CHZZK, a new streaming platform launched in December 2023.

CHZZK, operated by Naver, emerged after Twitch left South Korea, following a hefty fine of 435 million won imposed by the Korean Telecommunications Commission (KCC).

Since its launch, CHZZK has quickly become one of the country's largest streaming platforms.

Bang retired from professional League of Legends in May 2023 after a storied career that saw him claim back-to-back World Championship titles in 2015 and 2016 with T1. He also won the 2017 Mid-Season Invitational, marking his last major accolade.

Throughout his career, he cemented his legacy by becoming the third player in LCK history to reach 1,500 kills, joining Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyeok and Kim 'PraY' Jong-in in the exclusive club.

As T1's eighth content creator, Bang joins a growing roster that includes former League of Legends pro Lee 'Flame' Ho-jong, who competed in the LCS (now LTA North), LCK, and LPL.

Esports organisations increasingly rely on content creators for influencer events, sponsorships, and brand activations, making Bang's return a strategic move for both him and T1.
