Dota 2's The International 2025 set for historic return to Germany
The International 2025 (TI14) is set to take place in Germany from 4th to 14th September, marking a symbolic return to the country that hosted the very first TI at GamesCom in 2011.

For fans and players alike, the homecoming brings a wave of nostalgia and a redefined path to glory.
This year's edition introduces the most radical structural changes in the tournament's history. The Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), once the backbone of TI qualification, has been officially scrapped.
Gone too are the regional and last-chance qualifiers that once offered underdogs a shot at the title. Instead, teams must now secure their place at TI14 solely through consistent seasonal performance.
The revised qualification system, unveiled by Valve, has drawn mixed reactions. With no transparent ranking or public points system, the method of selection remains shrouded in mystery.
Valve has also opted to delay the announcement of directly invited teams until closer to the tournament, keeping fans and organisations alike in suspense.
Despite the uncertainty, a few teams have emerged as likely contenders for direct invites.
Based on their current form and tournament placements, Team Spirit, Team Liquid, BetBoom Team, Team Falcons, Tundra Esports, and PARIVISION are among those expected to make the cut.
