Report: Xavi Simons targeted as Bayern Munich shift focus from Liverpool's Luis Diaz
Liverpool's dynamic winger Luis Diaz could be on the move, with Bayern Munich circling but facing a steep price tag, according to reports from Spain.

The Reds have set an 80 million euro valuation for the Colombian star, backed by a gentleman's agreement that would allow Diaz to leave Anfield if the fee is met, as reported by Cadena SER.
"There's a gentleman's agreement between Liverpool and Diaz allowing him to depart 'without problems' if that fee is met," said Anton Meana on the Spanish radio station.
However, Bayern Munich are hesitant to match Liverpool's demands. Sport Bild revealed that the Bavarians have capped their offer at 60 million euros for the 28-year-old, who has also caught the eye of Barcelona.
With the German giants unwilling to stretch their budget, they are exploring other options to bolster their attack, particularly after missing out on key targets.
One such alternative is RB Leipzig's Xavi Simons, who has expressed a desire to leave the Bundesliga club this summer.
The Athletic reported that Bayern have made an inquiry about the 22-year-old Dutch international, though formal talks are yet to begin. Leipzig, who paid 50 million euros to secure Simons permanently from Paris Saint-Germain in January, would likely demand around 70 million euros to part ways with the versatile attacker.
Bayern's urgency to reinforce their attacking line stems from their failure to sign Florian Wirtz, who joined Liverpool, and Nico Williams, who extended his contract with Athletic Club.
"Bayern are determined to bring in a star name after missing out on Nico Williams and Bradley Barcola," noted Football Espana, highlighting the club's ambition to add firepower.
Stuttgart's Nick Woltemade also remains on their radar as a potential option.
Diaz, who netted 17 goals and provided eight assists across all competitions last season, has two years left on his Liverpool contract. Despite his happiness at Anfield, where he has said he is "very happy," the lack of progress on a new deal has fueled speculation about his future.
As the transfer window heats up, Liverpool's resolve will be tested. Will they hold firm, or will Diaz's suitors meet their 80 million euro price?
The saga is far from over, and fans are eagerly awaiting the next move in this high-stakes transfer battle.
