KT Rolster sweep CTBC Flying Oyster to book place in LoL Worlds last four
KT Rolster booked their place in the semifinals for the 2025 League of Legends World Championships with a 3-0 sweep of CTBC Flying Oyster on Wednesday.
league-of-legends16For the first time in the esports clubs' history, KT Rolster is in the semifinals of Worlds. The South Korean outfit did so in fine style, holding CTBC Flying Oyster to zero in the quarterfinal clash.
Game 1 saw KT Rolster mid laner Gwak 'BDD' Bo-seong and jungler Moon 'Cuzz' Woo-chan apply relentless pressure, resulting in a 26-12 kill lead and the win. In Game 2, Support Jun 'Peter' Jeong-hyeon dominated the map as KT Rolster needed just 24 minutes to go 2-0 up.
In the final game, CTBC Flying Oyster finally got an early foothold in the game thanks to jungler Huang 'Gemini' Chu-Xuan and mid laner Chen 'Mission' Hsiao-Hsien. But KT Rolster adapted to win the teamfights and earn a clean sweep and keep their undefeated streak alive.
Speaking to the press after the match, bot laner Seo 'Deokdam' Dae-gil was elated.
"This is the best moment of my career so far," he said.
"We've had tough stretches in scrims, but we've been performing well on stage, so I think we can keep it going in the next match too."
