Chess.com, Magnus Carlsen's platform partner to link Titled Tuesday with Esports World Cup
Chess.com has unveiled a major partnership with Magnus Carlsen's platform, Take Take Take, that will see Titled Tuesday become a direct qualification path to the 2026 Esports World Cup (EWC).

The collaboration aims to elevate competitive chess within the wider esports ecosystem, promising stronger narratives, larger prize pools, and increased production value.
The revamped format will feature a dedicated broadcast studio with live coverage from Grandmaster David Howell and sports presenter Kaja Snare, making the event accessible to both hardcore chess enthusiasts and casual fans alike.
Carlsen, who co-founded Take Take Take, described the long-term ambition as transforming Titled Tuesday into the "Premier League of Chess." The Norwegian superstar's endorsement comes at a time when the game's profile in esports is soaring.
Just earlier this year, Carlsen captured the EWC 2025 Chess Championship, representing Team Liquid and defeating Team Falcons' Alireza Firouzja in a gripping Grand Final.
As Chess Ambassador for the Esports World Cup, Carlsen has played a pivotal role in driving chess's popularity within the gaming landscape.
Regularly streamed tournaments now attract hundreds of thousands of peak viewers, further blurring the lines between traditional mind sports and the global esports industry.
