Opening batsman Abhishek Sharma, right-arm pacer Jasprit Bumrah, and mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy have been highlighted as the squad's potential match-winners.

Sharma, who made his T20I debut in July 2024 and currently tops the ICC T20I batting rankings, is praised for his fearless style and ability to dominate from the very first over.

Bumrah, India's most lethal bowling weapon, has battled fitness issues recently but showcased his skills in IPL 2025 with 18 wickets in 12 games at an economy of 6.67.

Varun Chakravarthy, meanwhile, has impressed with 33 wickets in his last 18 T20Is, including a Player of the Series performance against England, making him a potential X-factor.

India's 15-player squad, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav and vice-captain Shubman Gill, blends youth and experience. All-rounders Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel, along with dynamic talent Rinku Singh, provide further depth.

"I think Abhishek Sharma can be a game-changer," Sehwag said on Sony Sports.

    "Bumrah is always a game-changer.

"Varun Chakravarthy, with his mystery bowling, was very effective in the Champions Trophy and in the T20 format as well. So, these are some game-changers for India who can win matches on their own."

The team will open its campaign on 10 September against the UAE in Group A, which also includes Pakistan and Oman.

As defending champions, India will be eager to live up to expectations, with Sehwag's predicted stars expected to play crucial roles in the title defence.
