Andy Robertson faces Atletico Madrid temptation as Liverpool line up Milos Kerkez
Atletico Madrid are eyeing Liverpool stalwart Andy Robertson amid signs the Reds are preparing for life beyond the Scotland captain.

With Liverpool pushing to sign Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez - valued at 45–50 million pouns - as Arne Slot's first-choice left-back, Robertson's future at Anfield looks less certain. Though the club would prefer to offload Kostas Tsimikas, Robertson's role could be under threat for the first time in his eight-year Liverpool career.
The 31-year-old remains defiant. "I still believe I have a lot to give," he told BBC Sport Scotland last week while on international duty. "At 31, I feel excellent."
Robertson, a two-time Premier League winner and club icon since arriving from Hull in 2017, started 33 league games last season-proving he's still central to Liverpool's plans. But with his contract ticking down and interest from La Liga growing, the timing may be right for a bold move.
Atletico, needing a left-back with Reinildo and Azpilicueta out of contract, see Robertson as a natural fit. Diego Simeone's system - built on grit and defensive discipline - would likely appeal to the Scot's tenacity and leadership.
A move abroad, he admits, holds intrigue. "Playing abroad shows a different way of football and lifestyle," Robertson said, noting the success of Scotland teammates like Scott McTominay, who just lifted Serie A with Napoli.
Slot may want Robertson to compete with Kerkez over a long campaign, but the chance to become a key figure in Simeone's rebuild might prove too hard to resist.
