VfL Wolfsburg appoint Paul Simonis as new head coach

The 40-year-old Dutchman, previously at the helm of Go Ahead Eagles, has signed a contract until 2027, replacing Ralph Hasenhuttl at the Volkswagen Arena.

Wolfsburg's managing director for sport, Peter Christiansen, praised the meticulous selection process that led to Simonis' appointment. "Paul was the standout candidate," Christiansen said. "We're confident he'll drive the club forward, from the first team to our youth setups."
