Tyler Roberts finalising transfer from Leeds United to Birmingham City

    <p>Tyler Roberts is edging closer to a move from Leeds United to Birmingham City.</p>

    <p>According to The Athletic,&nbsp;Roberts will switch Elland Road for St. Andrews after 'positive talks'.</p>

    <p>Reports suggest that a&nbsp;fee of around &pound;750,000 will be paid for the Englishman with a medical set to take place in the next week.</p>

    <p>The 24-year-old West Brom academy graduate joined Leeds in January 2018 for an undisclosed fee rumoured to be &pound;2.5 million, potentially rising to &pound;4 million.</p>

    <p>His first Championship goals came against Preston in September 2018 and he was an integral part of Marcelo Bielsa's squad.</p>

    <p>The Argentinian would regularly praise the striker's skillset and was very vocal about the confidence he had in his abilities.</p>

    <p>Roberts made 50 appearances in the Premier League and scored a total of nine goals at Leeds before being loaned out to QPR in August 2022.</p>

    <p>Injuries limited his playing time at Loftus Road but on paper, he has the ability to boost City's attack.</p>

    <p>The Blues struggled in front of goal this season, with top scorer Scott Hogan netting 10 times in 37 matches.</p>

    <p>Lukas Jutkiewicz chipped in with five goals in a season where they failed to score in 17 of their 50 matches.</p>

    <p>Roberts has a point to prove and could be an inspired signing.</p>
