Report: Tottenham eye Genoa defender Koni De Winter
Tottenham have emerged as one of the clubs showing interest in Genoa centre-back Koni De Winter, as they look to reinforce their defence ahead of the new season.

De Winter, a 23-year-old Belgian international, is valued at 21.5 million pounds by Genoa, who signed him permanently from Juventus last summer.
The defender had previously spent a season on loan at the Ligurian club, having come through the ranks at Juventus, where he made just two senior appearances. He also had a loan stint at Empoli during the 2022/23 campaign.
In the 2023/24 season, De Winter made 26 appearances for Genoa, despite missing several weeks due to a hamstring injury.
On the international stage, he has earned four caps for Belgium and featured in both of their 2026 World Cup qualifying matches so far.
Tottenham's interest in De Winter comes amid growing uncertainty over Cristian Romero's future. The Argentine defender is reportedly a target for Atletico Madrid and is open to a move, though Spurs are keen to retain his services.
Conflicting reports have mistakenly suggested Brentford boss Thomas Frank is managing Spurs, further fuelling speculation.
Spurs' need for defensive reinforcements has grown after missing out on Jarrad Branthwaite, who signed a new contract with Everton earlier this week.
With Inter Milan also monitoring De Winter, both clubs could find themselves battling for the Belgian's signature - and potentially meeting on the pitch in the upcoming Champions League season.
