Marco Reus extends contract with Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund
After months of speculation about his future, Marco Reus has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund until the end of next season.

The 33-year-old attacking midfielder joined Dortmund from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012 and has become a key figure in the team, scoring 161 goals in 382 appearances.
Despite rumours surrounding his future, Reus made it clear that he wanted to stay with the Black and Yellows for the remainder of his playing career. Negotiations with the club were reportedly tough, with Dortmund asking Reus to take a significant pay cut, but an agreement was reached earlier this month.
Speaking after signing the new deal, Reus expressed his delight at extending his stay with the club: "There is still no better feeling for me than scoring goals in front of the best fans in the world and in the most beautiful stadium in the world. That's why I'm delighted to have extended my contract, because I've always said that I don't want to play for any other club in my career than BVB."
With his sights now set on Alfred Preißler's club record of 168 goals, Reus will hope to add to his tally and become Dortmund's all-time top scorer.
"I'm determined to give my best for the club I've spent more than half my life with," he said. "I couldn't imagine playing for any other club."
