Football News: Premier League - Liverpool vs Fulham ends in a 2-2 draw with a late equalizer from Mohamed Salah

    Liverpool has been struggling against Fulham in recent years, failing to emerge victorious at any of their last three Premier League matches. Fulham took a 2-0 lead, while Liverpool had to bounce back in the ending moments to level the scores.

    Fulham opened the scoring in the 32nd minute of the first half. Aleksandar Mitrovic headed the ball into the top left corner of the net after receiving an excellent cross from Dutch defender Kenny Tete.

    Luis Díaz came close to scoring the equalizer for Liverpool, but his left-footed strike bounced back after hitting the right post. The first half ended with a 1-0 lead for Fulham.

    Darwin Nunez levelled the score for Liverpool with a close ranged shot on his second consecutive attempt after receiving a low-levelled pass from Mohamed Salah down the right flank. 

    Fulham won a penalty corner in the 72nd minute when Aleksandar Mitrović fell after Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk stuck out his leg. The 27-year-old Serbian slotted the ball into the net with a powerful lowe levelled shot from his right foot to regain the lead for Fulham.

    However, the advantage was short-lived as Mohamed Salah equalized the score again for Liverpool. The 30-year-old Egyptian slotted into the net the ball past the Fulham goalkeeper Marek Rodák.

    Liverpool came close to scoring the winning goal when the English midfielder Jordan Henderson fired a powerful strike from a distance of 25 yards, but his shot struck the crossbar, and both teams walked away with one point each.

    The manager of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp, was not satisfied with the 2-2 draw and compared it to a defeat.

    In a post-match interview, Jurgen Klopp said, "We could have won the game because we had good chances, but it was probably a bit too much today. We started in exactly the opposite way that we wanted. We had to break lines, but we played into their hands. We did not find a way into the game, and then we were overplaying."

    Liverpool will next meet with Crystal Palace in a Premier League clash on August 16.
