Football News: Arsenal beats Chelsea 4-0 to win the Florida Cup
Arsenal recorded an impressive 4-0 victory against Chelsea to win the 2022 Florida Cup at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, on July 24

Gabriel Jesus in the 15th minute, Martin Odegaard in the 36th minute, Bukayo Saka in the 66th minute and Albert Sambi Lokonga in the second minute of the extended time scored to secure the victory for Arsenal. In contrast, none of the players from Chelsea was able to score.
Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring for Arsenal with a smooth chip over Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy in the 15th minute to continue his excellent pre-season performance. Martin Odegaard doubled the lead with a low-level shot after receiving a pass from Brazillian forward Gabriel Martinelli. Bukayo Saka made it 3-0 on a rebound from a volley by Granit Xhaka that was parried away by Edouard Osoque Mendy. At the same time, Albert Sambi Lokonga added a fourth in the ending moments of the match with a brilliant header.
In a post-match interview, Mikel Arteta said, "As you could see there are a lot of positives to take from the game. The way we played, the intensity we showed. The way we were trying to show who we are as a team. But at the same time, it's just a test match. Don't get carried away. There are still a lot of things that we have to get better at and do better."
Arsenal will next face Sevilla in their final pre-season match at Emirates Stadium in London, England, on July 30.
In another pre-season club friendly of the day, Manchester City edged past Bayern Munich 1-0 with the help of an early goal from Norwegian striker Erling Haaland.
