Bundesliga wrap: Emil Forsberg stars in final home game for RB Leipzig

Emil Forsberg came off the bench to contribute a goal and an assist in his farewell match at home for RB Leipzig, leading to a 3-1 victory against Hoffenheim.

Forsberg, who will join New York Red Bulls in January, restored Leipzig's lead just minutes after coming on and then hit the bar from a corner to leave Mohamed Simakan with a simple tap-in.

Borussia Dortmund lost more ground in the title race as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Augsburg, Donyell Malen equalising for the visitors after Ermedin Demirovic had opened the scoring midway through the first half.

Heidenheim consigned struggling Mainz to another defeat thanks to Marvin Pieringe's 12th-minute strike, leaving them mired in the relegation zone.

On Friday, Monchengladbach and Werder Bremen played out to a 2-2 draw, with Marvin Ducksch grabbing a 76th-minute equaliser for visiting Bremen.

Wolfsburg had to play most of their match against Darmstadt with 10 men but still managed to grab a 63rd-minute winner against their bottom-of-the-table opponents.

VfL Bochum were the day's other winners, thumping Union Berlin 3-0.
