Daley Blind's Bayern Munich dream comes true with debut against Mainz
Daley Blind, the Bayern Munich defender, made his club debut in the team's 4-0 victory over Mainz 05 and says the experience has been a "whirlwind".

"It went really quick," Blind told Bundelisga.com. "The first conversations were there, but at the end, they got serious. I was really excited to take on this challenge because, let's face it, it's Bayern Munich."
Blind says the move was a great opportunity for him to be back at the top again, even if only for six months. "It's something you want as a player. To play for trophies and be at the highest level."
The move was necessitated by the loss of Lucas Hernandez for the season with a major knee injury. Blind explains that he was a good opportunity for Bayern because he was a free player with the experience they were looking for.
"Of course, I'm happy that they came to me and I'm happy that I can help them where it's needed," Blind said.
Blind's father, Danny, a former Dutch professional, is also excited about the move to Bayern Munich. "Bayern Munich is one of the biggest clubs in the world," said the younger Blind. "Of course, my dad is proud."
