Bayern Munich sack Julian Nagelsmann and appoint former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have announced the shock sacking of manager Julian Nagelsmann.

<p>The 35-year-old has been in charge of the club for less than two years, yet the club have taken the decision to replace him with former Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel. </p>
<p>Bayern, who have won the last 10 Bundesliga titles, dropped to second in the table at the weekend following a 2-1 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.</p>
The Bavarians are still in the Champions League following their last-16 victory over Paris Saint-Germain. Tuchel will now lead the side into the quarter-final where they will take on Manchester City.
Tuchel, who was sacked by Chelsea last September, has put pen to paper on a deal until 2025.
The German will take training on Monday as he makes his return to management. He is also expected to name a backroom team following the departures of assistant coaches Dino Toppmoller, Benjamin Gluck and Xaver Zembrod.
