Atalanta reportedly turn down two Manchester United offers for Rasmus Hojlund
Rasmus Hojlund is keen on a Manchester United move but Atalanta have rejected two offers.

Manchester United's pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund continues, despite having two offers rejected by Atalanta, according to sources.

Manager Erik ten Hag has prioritised signing a new forward this summer, initially targeting Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

However, United were priced out of both deals and turned their attention to Hojlund, who has been on their radar for a while.

At just 20 years old, Hojlund joined Atalanta from Sturm Graz last August. He impressed in his debut Serie A season, scoring nine goals, and has also made his senior international debut for Denmark, scoring five times in six caps.

United's ideal scenario was to add an experienced first-choice striker and a promising young prospect like Hojlund to secure the position long-term.

However, budget constraints and the unresolved ownership situation with the Glazer family have made negotiations challenging.

The club made an initial offer of around £30m, which was rejected, followed by a bid of £41m that also got turned down. Atalanta are reportedly asking for £64m-£69m to consider selling the player.

United are not willing to be held to ransom and are prepared to go up to £51.5m to secure Hojlund's signature before the start of the new season.

Hojlund and his representatives believe United's valuation is fair, and the player is eager to make the move to Old Trafford.

"I will not hide the fact that I am a huge Man Utd fan," Hojlund said earlier this year.

"So, personally, [playing for them] would be one of the biggest things for me."
