VALORANT Masters Toronto: Team Heretics, MIBR eliminated
The VALORANT Masters Toronto Swiss Stage claimed its first victims as Team Heretics and MIBR were both eliminated following consecutive defeats.

Team Heretics' exit came after a dismal showing, capped by a 0-2 loss to Wolves Esports. Despite suffering a humiliating 1-13 loss on Pearl in their previous match, Heretics allowed the map through the veto once again - only to fall 10-13.
Their woes continued on Lotus, where they lost 9-13, despite finally securing their first pistol round of the tournament. Persistent issues defending the C site and overall lacklustre adaptability sealed their fate.
Wolves Esports, by contrast, delivered a convincing performance. Their Chamber-Vyse composition proved pivotal in dispatching Heretics, with Liu 'Spring' Jiunting starring as Astra and Viper.
Spring notched a 44-29 K/D and 260 ACS across both maps, showcasing exceptional control and fragging power.
MIBR's tournament run was even more underwhelming. They failed to win a single map or pistol round and managed just 19 rounds across four maps.
Their 0-2 loss to Team Liquid - 13-6 on Icebox and 13-7 on Sunset - highlighted the gulf in performance, despite MIBR's strong Stage 1 showing.
Team Liquid looked reinvigorated with a flexible six-man rotation. Penny started on Icebox, while Serial came in for Sunset and contributed a crucial 1v2 clutch. nAts, returning to the roster, delivered a highlight 1v3 in Viper's Pit, while Keiko led Icebox in rating.
