VALORANT: Leaf returns to G2 Esports after health struggle
After more than seven weeks away from the competitive grind, G2 Esports' sentinel main 'leaf' has returned to action in VALORANT following a difficult battle with serious health issues.

In a heartfelt post on X on 23 August, leaf revealed that he has been managing Crohn's disease since childhood, and recently endured his worst flare-up since the age of nine.
The episode, which began shortly after VCT Masters Toronto in June, was compounded by complications from ankylosing spondylitis and sacroiliitis.
He described experiencing extreme fatigue, severe pain, and difficulty eating or drinking, which forced multiple hospital visits across a two-week stretch.
Despite the severity of the setback, leaf confirmed that he is now "hopefully" past the worst of his struggles. He expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans and gave special thanks to both his long-term teammates and Babybay, who stood in during his absence.
Babybay's efforts helped G2 maintain its synergy and competitive edge throughout the campaign.
That resilience has shown in results. G2 stormed through the group stage and then picked up back-to-back playoff victories to secure a spot in the upper final of VCT Americas Stage 2.
With leaf back in the lineup, they are now preparing for a high-stakes showdown against Sentinels on 29 August.
