Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 has landed, introducing a wave of balance changes, new team-up mechanics, and the long-anticipated arrival of a new Strategist hero: Ultron.

Initially considered underwhelming in pre-release previews, Ultron was quickly buffed at the start of the new season, significantly improving his viability. His high damage output and flight capabilities now shine, especially when paired with Iron Man for enhanced healing support.

Triple support team compositions - echoing Adam Warlock’s style - have also bolstered his performance. While his place in the meta remains uncertain, Ultron's pick rate is surging as players test his potential.

The current high-rank meta (Celestial and above) remains largely familiar, with Magneto (28.76%) and Luna Snow (27.10%) continuing to dominate.

Emma Frost (19.78%) and Rocket Raccoon (17.85%) also see heavy usage, despite receiving minor nerfs. Buffs to Magneto and Luna Snow are unlikely to shift the meta drastically due to the strength of their core kits.

Meanwhile, several emerging picks are gaining traction. Peni Parker is rising in popularity thanks to a new team-up with Rocket Raccoon - Rocket Network - while Hawkeye is finding his footing as a strong Duelist alongside Luna Snow in the Chilling Assault combo.

Jeff, once an overlooked support, has undergone a soft rework. His new kit centres around Joyful Splash as the main damage dealer, with Aqua Burst shifting to a cooldown ability.
