Team Liquid signs trexx ahead of VCT EMEA Stage 2 clash with KOI
Team Liquid has added Russian VALORANT pro Nikita 'trexx' Cherednichenko to its roster ahead of VCT EMEA Stage 2, marking another significant roster shake-up.

The 22-year-old, who began his professional career in 2020, joins from Team Vitality and replaces Maikls 'Serial' Zdanovs, whose departure was announced on 11 July.
trexx brings considerable experience, having played for OG, Guild Esports, KOI, and most recently Vitality, with whom he attended Champions 2024.
He now joins a Liquid squad that has qualified for both Masters Bangkok and Masters Toronto this year, but crashed out in the group stages of both events.
Team Liquid's season has been marred by instability. They lost Maks 'kamyk' Rychlewski earlier in the year and faced disruptions at Masters Toronto, where in-game leader Ayaz 'nAts' Akhmetshin arrived late due to visa issues. Stand-in Erik 'penny' Penny had to fill in for the team's opening match in Canada.
Despite these challenges, Liquid currently sit third on the EMEA Points leaderboard, keeping their hopes of qualifying for VALORANT Champions 2025 alive.
Points are awarded based on regional performances throughout the VCT season, and consistent qualification for Masters events has kept Liquid in contention.
trexx will make his debut on 17 July at 7pm BST in a best-of-three series against his former team, KOI.
