Taiwan's QQ makes history at Esports World Cup with Championship and MVP honours
Chen Yin-hung, better known by his gamer tag 'QQ', has become the first player from Taiwan to win both the Apex Legends championship and the MVP title at the Esports World Cup.

Just 18 years old, QQ led Chinese-based VK Gaming to victory at the 2025 EWC in Saudi Arabia.
Representing the Asia-Pacific South region, VK Gaming triumphed over 39 rival squads in the high-stakes Apex Legends tournament - a battle royale game known for its tactical depth and precision-based gameplay.
The tournament featured a massive 2-million-dollar prize pool, with VK Gaming claiming the 600,000-dollar top prize.
QQ's standout performance, including a staggering 17 kills in a single round during the finals, earned him an additional 10,000 dollars and the coveted MVP title.
This year marked the second edition of the Esports World Cup, first launched in Saudi Arabia in 2024.
The 2025 event boasted a record-breaking overall prize pool exceeding US$70 million, the largest in e-sports history, and featured a diverse range of competitive titles.
QQ's historic win makes him not only the first Taiwanese MVP in Apex Legends at the EWC, but also the first Taiwanese player to win any Esports World Cup championship.
