Shopify Rebellion beat Team Liquid to reach lower-bracket final
Shopify Rebellion surged past Team Liquid with a 3-1 victory in the lower bracket of the League of Legends LTA North 2025 Split 2 playoffs on Sunday.

The match, held in Los Angeles, was part of the double-elimination playoff stage that follows the group stage and one week of cross-group battles.
Shopify Rebellion opened strong, claiming Map 1 on the red side in 33 minutes. They followed up with a marathon 54-minute win in Map 2, largely thanks to the efforts of Juan 'Contractz' Garcia.
The jungler was named MVP of the match, tallying 21 assists over the first two maps. Although Team Liquid clawed one back on the blue side in Map 3 (34 minutes), Shopify Rebellion sealed the series with a commanding 33-minute win on Map 4. Contractz again impressed, finishing the final map with a 2-0-5 K/D/A.
With the win, Shopify Rebellion progress to the lower-bracket final on Saturday, where they will face Cloud9. Cloud9 fell to FlyQuest in a tense 3-2 upper-bracket final. FlyQuest have now booked their place in the grand final on 15 June.
The Split 2 playoffs feature the top six teams and follow a best-of-five format. At stake is a $160,000 prize pool, with the champion taking home $80,000, a place at the Mid-Season Invitational, and qualification for the Esports World Cup. The runner-up will receive $40,000 and also earn a spot at the World Cup.
