Overwatch League will include Contenders teams for first time
Blizzard has stated that the sixth season of Overwatch League will be the first one where Contenders teams will be able to compete.

The new OWL format will see the season split into a Spring Stage and a Summer Stage.
Two LAN events will combine the East and West regions for the Midseason Madness Global Tournament and Grand Finals.
Open Division and Contenders teams will compete in tournaments across South Korea, Asia Pacific, and Australia/New Zealand.
Twelve teams will qualify for the Spring Stage Opens, and then the best teams from Opens and Spring Stage qualifiers will advance to the knockout tournament.
From the knockouts the top teams will then progress to the Midseason Madness.
