Lakia returns to Gen.G VALORANT roster after comeback from injury
Gen.G Esports has officially re-signed veteran player Kim 'Lakia' Jong-min to its VALORANT roster, marking a major development ahead of the 2025 competitive season.

Lakia, a key figure in Korean VALORANT, boasts over four years of top-tier experience. Originally a Counter-Strike player, he transitioned to VALORANT in 2020, joining Vision Strikers - a team that later became DRX.
In 2021, he competed at Masters Berlin and earned a podium finish at Masters Reykjavík.
After joining Gen.G in October 2023, Lakia played a central role in the team's breakout 2024 campaign. He helped secure second place at Masters Madrid before lifting the trophy at Masters Shanghai and winning the VCT 2024: Pacific Stage 2.
However, a wrist injury during the 2024-25 off-season forced him to step back from competition, turning instead to esports consulting. In June 2025, he announced his return to competitive play, and now, in August, has rejoined Gen.G.
Lakia rejoins alongside familiar faces from 2023 - Kim 't3xture' Na-ra and Kim 'Karon' Won-tae. The current Gen.G VALORANT roster also includes Byeon 'Munchkin' Sang-beom, Jung 'Foxy9' Jae-sung, and Ha 'Ash' Hyun-cheol.
His return comes amid other roster changes, with star player Kim 'Meteor' Tae-oh, a Masters Bangkok 2025 winner, departing the team to join fellow Korean side T1.
