Gen.G rally to secure 2025 Mid-Season Invitational title
Gen.G came from behind to defeat perennial rivals T1 Esports in the Grand Final of the Mid-Season Invitational on Sunday night.

Gen.G successfully defended their reign with another trophy and booked a ticket to Worlds in the process. In a series that went the full distance, Gen.G emerged as the eventual champions after a dominant Game 5. But it wasn't easy…
T1 came out of the blocks fast in Game 1, with LoL legend Lee 'Faker' Sang-hyeok's masterful Orianna, landing a game-changing shockwave to win in 34 minutes.
Gen.G hit back in Game 2 largely thanks to Kim 'Kiin' Gi-in's solid top-lane presence with Sion, who verpowered T1's Camille.
Game 3 saw Faker step up once again, rampaging with Azir, while Ryu 'Keria' Min-seok provided ample support as T1 went up 2-1 in the series.
But defending champions rose to the challenge to win the final two games. Gen.G fought back with Park 'Ruler' Jae-hyuk Zeri and Kim 'Canyon' Geon-bu's Trundle, exploiting T1's lack of engage and tanks to force a Game 5.
A thrilling finale saw Gen.G's Jeong 'Chovy' Ji-hoon shine on Aurora, with Canyon's Nidalee and Joo 'Duro' Min-kyu's vision control securing key objectives. Gen.G clinched the title after 35 minutes, extending their 23-game win streak and claiming back-to-back MSI championships.
