G2 Esports shake up roster amid slump, huNter- named new IGL
G2 Esports have announced significant changes to their Counter-Strike 2 roster following a spell of underwhelming performances.

Janusz 'Snax' Pogorzelski has been moved to the inactive roster, with Nemanja 'huNter-' Kovac set to take over as the team's new in-game leader.
The reshuffle comes after G2's decline in form since their triumphs at the 2024 BLAST Premier Fall Final and World Final. Snax, who joined the organisation in July 2024, played a key role in those successes but now finds himself sidelined as the team looks to regain momentum.
The roster changes follow the high-profile departures of Nikola 'NiKo' Kovac and Ilya 'm0NESY' Osipov to Team Falcons, leaving G2 to rebuild.
Their recent performances have been lacklustre, with the only notable finish since their BLAST wins being at PGL Bucharest. As a result, their VRS ranking has dropped to its lowest point since January 2024.
To reverse their fortunes, G2 have brought in Alvaro 'SunPayus' Garcia and coach Eetu 'sAw' Saha. According to HLTV, the team is also set to replace Snax with Matúš 'matys' Simko from Fnatic.
If confirmed in time, matys is expected to debut for G2 at IEM Cologne 2025, which runs from 23 July to 3 August.
With huNter- assuming leadership and a refreshed lineup in the works, G2 will be hoping the shake-up sparks a return to form on the international stage.
