Esports legend s1mple joins FaZe Clan ahead of CS2 return
Counter-Strike megastar Oleksandr 's1mple' Kostyliev has joined FaZe Clan on loan from Natus Vincere ahead of his return to the popular shooter.

The Ukrainian will compete in FaZe Clan colours for the upcoming IEM Dallas and BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. FaZe confirmed the change on social media this week, adding that Helvijs 'broky' Saukants has been benched.
s1mple is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in CS history. He has been inactive from NAVI since late 2023 and only briefly returned in 2025 with Team Falcons. Now he has switched allegiances again ahead of his highly anticipated return to top-flight esports.
"Looking forward to playing with this GOAT at the major," said Finn 'karrigan' Andersen after the announcement.
"This is an all-in move, we are going for the trophy at [the] major even if Sasha is only a stand-in, I know we can win."
Current FaZe Clan CS2 roster:
Finn 'karrigan' Andersen
Havard 'rain' Nygaard
Jonathan 'EliGE' Jablonowski
David 'frozen' Cernansky
Oleksandr 's1mple' Kostyliev
