Bugged CS:GO flashbang controversy rocks IEM Rio 2023

    During the FaZe FURIA match at IEM Rio 2023, a flashbang disrupted the game. This was noticed by the Counter-Strike community, despite ESL missing it on their stream.

    The flashbang was thrown by FaZe, but when it popped in front of two FURIA players, they were not affected at all.

    The flash animation only showed on the player models, but FURIA could see everything.

    While it's debatable whether this affected the game's outcome, it definitely put FaZe on the back foot early on.

    Fans were outraged and demanded a rematch, but FURIA ultimately won the series 2-0.

    The glitch occurred on FaZe's map pick, Nuke, and after their defeat, they were sent to the lower bracket to face Vitality, with the loser being eliminated from the tournament.

    This kind of bug shouldn't be present in professional matches, and it's hoped that Valve will take action to fix the issue.
