BLAST expands into US with New York City office amid global growth push
Danish esports tournament organiser BLAST has officially expanded into the United States, opening a new office in New York City that will serve as its North American hub.

The move comes as part of a broader strategy to strengthen the company's presence in the region, with five North American events scheduled for 2025 - including a Counter-Strike 2 Major in Austin, Texas, and a Fortnite Pro-Am in Los Angeles, California.
According to BLAST, the New York office will focus on collaborating with US-based content creators to produce original content and facilitate live event appearances, further embedding the company in the local scene.
"We've been deeply committed to the growth of esports in the US for six years, hosting some of our most iconic live events here since 2019," said Leo Matlock, Chief Business Officer at BLAST. "Establishing a permanent hub here is a natural next step and a powerful indicator of our long-term investment in the market. This move further supports our global expansion efforts in 2025."
The North American push follows BLAST's recent expansion into India via a partnership with RISE, a sports and entertainment firm backed by Reliance. The company is set for a busy year, with the highly anticipated Austin Major bringing together 32 Counter-Strike 2 teams to compete for a $1.25 million prize pool.
Beyond Counter-Strike, BLAST continues to support Fortnite and Rocket League through the FNCS and RLCS circuits, both of which will wrap up their 2025 seasons in Lyon, France this September.
