All 16 teams confirmed for IEM Dallas 2025 as HEROIC secures final spot
All 16 teams set for Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Dallas 2025 have been confirmed following the final European Qualifier match between HEROIC and Astralis.

HEROIC secured the last available spot in the $300,000 (~£237,000) Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournament, which runs from May 19th-25th at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
IEM Dallas is the third international IEM event of the 2025 CS2 season, following IEM Katowice—won by Team Vitality—and IEM Melbourne in April. The full list of teams for Melbourne was finalized earlier this month.
How Teams Qualified for IEM Dallas
Teams earned their places at IEM Dallas through Valve’s new VRS leaderboard system and regional qualifiers.
Eight teams qualified based on their regional VRS rankings as of February 3rd. However, VRS leader Team Spirit and top contender NAVI opted not to attend.
Regional Qualifiers
Outside of invited teams, organizations had to compete in regional qualifiers, with Open Qualifiers offering lower-ranked teams a shot at securing a place in their region’s IEM Qualifier.
The European Qualifier featured 16 teams, with the top five advancing to Dallas. North America, South America, and Asia each hosted four-team qualifiers, with only the winner securing a spot.
Global VRS Rankings
Alongside regional rankings, Valve also maintains a global VRS leaderboard. As of February 3rd, the top five CS2 teams worldwide are:
- Team Spirit
- G2 Esports
- TheMongolZ
- Vitality
- FaZe
G2 Esports holds the highest ranking among teams attending IEM Dallas, while BC.Game, ranked 99th globally, defied expectations by qualifying through ESL’s Open Qualifier and finishing second in the European Qualifier.
