Proteas star Wiaan Mulder set for first stint in Indian Premier League
Proteas all-rounder Wiaan Mulder has been picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad as a replacement for Brydon Carse for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

The news comes after Carse was ruled out of the 2025 edition of the IPL due to a toe injury. The Englishman had blisters and cuts to a toe on his left foot during England's opening Champions Trophy match against Australia and was subsequently ruled out of the rest of the competition.
Mulder will serve as his replacement. In his T20 career, the all-rounder has claimed 67 wickets in 128 games and hit 2172 runs with 12 fifties.
The 27-year-old has also played 11 T20Is in addition to 18 Tests and 25 ODIs. He has picked up 60 wickets in international cricket and has scored 970 international runs.
Mulder is set to pocket around R1.5 million, equal to his base price for IPL 2025 mega auction.
The Sunrisers will play their first game in IPL 2025 against the Rajasthan Royals on 23rd March at their home ground.
