    On Friday, India captain Rohit Sharma was instrumental in India's victory over the West Indies at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. Rohit scored 64 runs in 44 balls, including seven boundaries and two sixes, to help India post a challenging total of 190/6 in 20 overs. India's opener batted at a strike rate of 145 and got his team off to a flying start. With this, India's captain set two new records.

    Rohit reclaimed the record for most runs scored in T20I history. Before the match began, he was 20 runs behind New Zealand's Martin Guptill. Rohit also surpassed former India captain Virat Kohli for the most fifty-plus T20I scores.

    Virat Kohli is second on the list with 30 fifty-plus scores, while Rohit Sharma is first with four centuries and 27 half-centuries in T20Is. Kohli has yet to score a century in a T20I. Pakistan's captain, Babar Azam, is now third with 27 fifty-plus runs, including a T20I hundred.

    Babar Azam is trailing behind Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli for the most fifty-plus scores in T20Is. The upcoming T20 World Cup will be an interesting contest to have fair clarity from the top 3 batters.
